Gazzetta dello Sport reports in today’s newspaper edition of the paper on Inter’s different alternatives and strategies regarding how to strenghten their central midfield when the transfer window opens in January.

The Milano-based newspaper reports that the real target for Inter Directors Walter Sabatini and Piero Ausilio is Cagliari’s twenty year old midfielder Nicolo Barella. According to the report the Nerazzurri are willing to sacrifice young striker Andrea Pinamonti in order to lower the Sardinian club’s asking price. Inter are also, reportedly prepared to sacrifice Pinamonti in order to sign Bologna’s Ghanaian midfielder Godfred Donsah should their efforst to bring Barella to Appiano Gentile fail.

The Milano-based paper reports however, that the ideal solution is still Jiangsu Suning’s Brazilian midfielder Ramires. Inter have made a dry loan offer for the former Chelsea player whilst the Chinese Super League outfit prefer a permanent transfer or that Inter pay his €10 million net per season wages should they take him on loan, which is financially unsustainable for the Nerazzurri.
