Former Inter striker Sandro Mazzola joined fellow legend and teammate Luis Suarez in speaking on the current comparisons being made between current Inter striker Mauro Icardi and triplete hero Diego Milito.

“I like Icardi very much and I liked Milito as well, but in modern football I think Icardi is perfect. I could have exchanged more passes with Milito but Mauro instead goes it alone,” he said on TuttoMercatoWeb Radio.

He continued by drawing comparisions between Milito’s Inter and modern day Inter.

“Is this Inter is like Milito’s Inter? They have to give their all. They need to show a great spirit of sacrifice otherwise I am very doubtful.”

Many comparisons are also being drawn between current Inter manager Luciano Spalletti and triplete winning manager Jose Mourinho. Mazzola however refused to make any comparison between the two.

“Let us leave everyone to walk down their own path, they are two great managers.”
