Inter youth academy director Roberto Samaden addressed the many in attendance at last night’s event celebrating the many successes of Inter’s youth teams this season.
“I thank all the people who made this possible, last year we had 650 players, today we have almost 800. We thought it would be impossible, just as we thought it was impossible to win three championships in the same season, but we succeeded and this teaches us that we must never set limits.
“We thought it would be impossible, just as we thought it was impossible to win three league titles in the same season, but we succeeded and this teaches us that we must never set limits, we must always cultivate our dreams, with the aim of growing and improving, remaining a great team, because all the trophies you see here are the result of the team we created in and out of the field and that makes the difference every day so that you can grow in the right way. It is just our luck is to have a leadership that has always believed and who have been following us for years, we have to go on like this together, because together we can go far.”
Seria A is hard ground to develop youth, youngsters mistakes costs championships, Seria B need to be prepared as youth playing ground, I like the Idea they have in spain if we have Inter B team or we can have partnership with some clubs, to offer our youth talents and get them back instead of loosing them and trying to buy them later.
Hope we start to see some of the youth team lads in the A squad soon…
To see this happens, we nees to prepare ourselves that we might lose the match. Are we ready yet? Last match versus Prodenone in Coppa, we already bashed Pina, Kara and others because we played poorly.
truth to be told, we never get ready. we just are just like this, a two-faced. once we want the youths bloom (the risk is time), next time we just want experienced star players (for fast trophies)–> but let’s see what happen right now, money that always buys everything (including star players guaranteed for trophies), but not young players. so, if we want the youths to grow, loan them or just sell them.
The way to do it is clearly to send then away on loan but to get a leash on them so we can get them back when they start doing great things, like Benassi or Mbaye
