Romildo Bolzan, President of Brazilian football club Gremio, was interviewed by Calciomercato.it. During the interview he spoke about the situation of the talented Brazilian central midfielder Arthur, who has been the object of Inter’s interest as confirmed a few days ago by the vice president of the Porto Alegre based club, Odorino Roman.

Now the president also seems to confirm the rumours surrounding the player stating that: “There is no problem regarding Arthur, if a club arrives offering the money stipulated in the release clause, the boy can leave. I confirm that there have also been contacts from Italian clubs, but no concrete offers for now.”

The 21-year-old proved a key figure in Gremio’s Copa Libertadores victory and has attracted proposals from Europe, however his release clause of €50m has put off any potential suitors. The club has also confirmed the club owns only 70 per cent of the player’s rights, dividing the rest with his family, and he does not possess an EU passport, which provides another stumbling block for European clubs.
