Inter’s Italian full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio had to be brought off midway throught the second half due to injury during the Nerazzurri’s Serie A fixture away against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.

It was in the 77th minute that Danilo D’Ambrosio, who was played out on the left side of defence today by Inter manager Luciano Spalletti, was going to cross the ball but instead unattacked seemd to have twisted his knee and was forced to be brought off and was replaced by Brazilian full-back Henrique Dalbert.

Italian media outlet FcInterNews reports that some updates regarding D’Ambrosio’s injury is now available. Inter have confirmed that the player has suffered trauma to his left knee and that he will undergo further medical examinations over the next few days to determine how serious the injury is and the amount of time will be needed for him to recover from whatever injury he has sustained.
