The future of Portuguese player Joao Cancelo has been cause for debate this week. It is thought that Inter owners, Suning, wish to keep him at the club after his loan deal expires whereas in Spain they are reporting that he wants to return to Valencia when his loan contract comes to an end.

The Spanish daily newspaper Superdeporte is reporting that the Portuguese defender/winger has expressed his desire to return to Spain.  Sources close to Valencia have been reported as saying “Joao has already said that he wants to return to us at all costs.” Valencia manager Marcelino offered him more playing time in every game which is stark comparison to what he is currently getting at Inter under manager Luciano Spalletti.

The Inter manager has spoken out in public about Cancelo claiming that he will get his chance in the team sooner or later and that when he does, he believes he will demonstrate his full potential. Despite this Superdeporte insist that Spalletti is just quoting the official line and firmly believe that the players will force a move back to Spain as per his wishes.
