Inter winger Ivan Perisic has been a victim of Inter’s downturn in form in recent weeks in the opinion of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Croatian started the season in blistering form and was largely untouchable in most of the games as he helped himself to plenty of goals and assists.
The 28-year-old has been far less decisive in the past four games where has neither scored or assisted, his longest spell without either this season.
Opta data confirms his downturn in form. Up to the Chievo game, he created 2.53 chances per game on average but since that game – where he in fact scored a hat trick – it has dropped to just 1.67. His average crosses have dropped from near six to just four and his shooting accurary has dropped from 43% to just 22%.
This season in total, Perisic has contributed no less than seven goals and six assists in 18 games in all competitions.
