Marcelo Brozovic One Booking Away From Suspension

The Lega Calcio disciplinary committee announced their verdicts from Day 18 of the Serie A ahead of the last round of matches to be played in 2017, which incidentally also marks the half way point of the Serie A season.

Inter’s Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic received his fourth booking on Saturday against Sassuolo and is therefore only one yellow card away from an automatic one match ban.

The disciplinary committee handed out severe punishment against Cagliari striker Joao Pedro who will be suspended for four matches after the red card he received in the Serie A fixture last Friday at home against Fiorentina. Joao Pedro has received a one match automatic ban after being sent off as well as three additional matches for ‘violent behaviour’.

Andrea Poli (Bologna) and Mario Rui (Napoli) have been suspended for one match each due to being sent off thanks to two bookable offences whilst Arlind Ajeti (Crotone) and Daniele Baselli (Torino) are suspended for one match after having received their fifth yellow cards of the season.
