Valencia are pressing Inter to make a decision on the future of Joao Cancelo with the club and have given Inter a January 10th deadline to inform them of their decision Spanish outlet Superdeporte report.

Cancelo himself has already told Valencia manager Marcelino that he is happy to return and Valencia are working on bringing the Portuguese full back back to the club early which means interrupting the loan with right of redemption agreement made with the Nerazzurri.

Cancelo’s word ultimately means nothing however and the last word is solely down to Inter, in particular manager Luciano Spalletti.

The 23-year-old has been used scarcely this season, making just six appearances in all competitions which has lead to the possibility of an early return to Valencia arising. The Portuguese international has failed to dislodge Danilo D’Ambrosio and as a result has been limited to just 130 minutes of Serie A action across the 18 games played in the league thus far.
