Joao Mario To Be Dropped From Starting XI For Inter-Lazio

After his poor performance against Milan in the Coppa Italia, Joao Mario is to be dropped to the bench for tomorrow’s fixture with Lazio according to Tuttosport.

Borja Valero will come in in place of the Portuguese midfielder in the trequartista role just behind captain Mauro Icardi.

The Turin based news outlet further report that full back’s Joao Cancelo and Yuto Nagatomo will keep their places from Wednesday night’s loss despite it being suggested elsewhere that both would be replaced. Moreover, despite a continued period of poor performances, Ivan Perisic is expected to keep his place in Luciano Spalletti’s starting eleven.

Inter Predicted Starting XI (4-2-3-1); Samir Handanovic; Yuto Nagatomo, Milan Skriniar, Andrea Ranocchia, Joao Cancelo; Matias Vecino, Roberto Gagliardini; Ivan Perisic, Borja Valero, Antonio Candreva; Mauro Icardi.

Lazio’s visit to San Siro tomorrow evening is the final fixture for each team this calendar year and is crucial for each teams goal of securing UEFA Champions League qualification.
