GdS: “Spalletti has the cure for Inter’s crisis”

With only one goal in the last five games, Mauro Icardi is one of the reasons that Inter are in somewhat of a crisis getting only one point from the last three games in the Championship. To fix this crisis, Inter coach Luciano Spalletti has suggested a psychological fix but also to make Icardi score again, La Gazzetta dello Sport explains: “Inter’s captain is furious with the situation and wants revenge because he feels responsible for the loss against Sassuolo since he missed the penalty that would have brought at least a point back home to Milan. Except the penalty he also had two exceptional chances to score from within a close range from the opponents goal. This means that tonight’s game against Lazio puts a lot of pressure on the young Argentinian, especially since the game also is about the last place to the Uefa Champions League qualifiers. Inter comes to this match with an extremely low confidence, something that even Spalletti has stated. Bad performance in the Serie A and 120 minutes of Coppa Italia football in their legs after the loss against AC Milan on Wednesday makes this a hard challenge for an Inter that will miss defender Joao Miranda (hopefully back against Roma after the short break). So a complicated situation for Inter but a situation where Mauro Icardi ususally proves his value to the team.”
