Former Inter Captain Andrea Ranocchia spoke to Inter TV after Inter’s 0-0 draw at home to Lazio today. He spoke about the game saying: “We done well not to concede tonight because Lazio are strong up front. It was just a shame we didn’t manage to get a win and all three points. It was important not to lose against a direct rival for the UEFA Champions League places but the season is still long. We must improve against the smaller teams though.”

Ranocchia played all 120 minutes of Wednesday nights Coppa Italia quarter final against Milan & he confessed “we started to feel the tiredness from the Milan game towards the end today, but it’s all good. We started strongly, we tried & we gave it our best.” The former Bari and Genoa defender went on to say “Now we have Fiorentina next but at least we have a couple of days more to rest for that game. I’m hopeful, today we prepared the game well and we knew it wasn’t going to be easy. In the past everything seemed to be going in our favour but now even the smallest things don’t seem to be going our way. We just need to continue to work hard.” The former Hull City defender picked up a knock before half time that looked like it might force him out of the game at one point but he managed to complete the game in the end. When asked what happened he answered “I done it to myself, i was in a lot of pain, but thankfully it passed & I was able to play on & finish the game.”
