After Inter’s trip to Florence tonight to take on Fiorentina, Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio will resume work on bringing Alessandro Bastoni back to the club Tuttosport report.

Bastoni joined the Nerazzurri in the summer but was sent back to Atalanta on a two-year loan deal to continue his development. Injuries at the centre back department have left Inter extremely short there and has left them with no option but to recall the 18-year-old to provide cover.

The Turin based newspaper further report that Ausilio hopes to be able to make Bastoni available to Inter manager Luciano Spalletti by January 14 at the latest, the date when Inter return to training after the winter break which begins after tonight’s game.

The Italian youth international has made just a single first team appearance this season but has been a regular for the Bergamo clubs Primavera when he has not been named in the first team squad.
