According to Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Napoli is preparing for a €20 million offer for Bologna’s attacking midfielder Simone Verdi.  The Italian international is in no such rush to accept any deal as come seasons end he’d be able to leverage his value further in the summer transfer window.

The alternative for Napoli is A.C Milan former Primavera man and current Sassuolo winger, Matteo Politano. For Matteo Politano though, it does seem that there is tough competition coming from Inter whom have also shown a lot of interest for the winger. According to the report Napoli can acquire the player outright, while Inter on the other hand can offer an 18 month loan with an obligation to buy. Sassuolo’s requested price tag is €20 million for Politano.

Other potential candidates to strenghthen the winger position for Inter is Bologna’s Simone Verdi and FC Barcelona’s Gerard Deulofeu.

It seems that there is a battle not just in the league standings between Napoli and Inter, but that one is sure heating up in the transfer maket too.
