Slowly but surely you are beginning to see the makeup of the January transfer window with each and every day that goes by especially with clubs that are in need on reinforcements. Inter is one of these clubs, in massive need of a central defender.

One of the main rumors swirling around is that of Atalanta defender Alessandro Bastoni whom is actually owned by Inter.  According to Il Giornale, he is set to arrive this January instead of this coming June and give much needed depth to the Nerazzurri who are currently without two central defenders in Joao Miranda and Zinho Vanheusen.

Inter have also targeted Lazio’s Dutch international central defender De Vrij whom has been such a catalyst for success for Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio. De Vrij’s contract is set to expire in June and according to Il Giornale Inter have already made a four year offer valued at €3 million per year net to the player. However, with Barcellona already looking ahead for Javier Mascherano’s replacement, Inter does have some stiff competition to overcome.

Piero Ausilio also has his eye on Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Danish central defender. Vestergaard, who’s born in 1992.
