Former Inter manager Walter Mazzari was presented as the new manager of Torino at a press conference having agreed terms with the Granata yesterday.

During the conference, journalists asked Mazzari about his last managerial job in Italy which was with Inter back in the 2013/14 season.

“At Inter, as long as President Moratti was there, we were second in the standings. It is essential for a coach to have an important leadership behind them. When a very important president sells the club after many years in charge, a whole series of things happen and a coach can not do much more.”

Mazzari, who last managed Premier League club Watford prior to taking over the reigns at Torino, concluded the segment on Inter by speaking on his time in charge as a whole.

“It was a wonderful experience and many who did not understand certain situations then changed their mind [about me].”
