The Serie A break is more than welcome in the black-and blue part of Milano as explained why by Milano based newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.

According to the report the break will allow the Nerazzurri to rest as “Inter are definitely running on the reserve tank at the moment. Now the team can look forward to a one week break in the league, then it is time to start preparing for the clash against Roma which is another delicate challenge in a game against one of the contenders for the Champions League spots. One could say that Inter is in a one game knock-out phase. Brazilian defender Joao Miranda is still recovering from his calf injury and despite previous reports to the contrary, it is far from certain that Miranda will return for the game against Roma.”

Inter are set to play AS Roma Sunday the 21st of January at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.
