Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is set to meet members of the Atalanta board to discuss Alessandro Bastoni’s future with the Bergamo club.

Tuttosport report that Ausilio and those he meets will review the loan agreement which will see Bastoni return to the Nerazzurri 18 months sooner than planned as well as revise some of the bonuses agreed as part of the transfer that took place in the summer.

The 18-year-old central defender is to be called back due to Inter’s shortage in that area. Zinho Vanheusden suffered a long term injury a few months back leaving Inter with just three centre backs since. With Inter’s hands tied in the mercato due to Financial Fair Play, Bastoni represents an easy option to address the problem at the back.

The youth international has made one appearance for the Atalanta first team this term and made a number of appearances for their Primavera side also.
