De Vrij’s Inter Move Could Be Decided By Sabatini’s China Trip

Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Lazio’s Dutch centre back Stefan De Vrij’s transfer to Inter could be decided from Walter Sabatini’s recent trip to China to meet with Suning.

De Vrij’s contract is expiring at Lazio this summer. There was an agreement between Inter and the Dutch defender a few weeks ago, but nothing is confirmed yet. The agreement was €4 million a year starting in July. Inter was supposed to conclude the deal fairly quickly and enter the deal as soon as possible. However, there was an issue in China and this allowed other clubs such as Barcelona, Roma, and Milan to re-enter the race to sign de Vrij. Lazio’s President, Claudio Lotito also insists that Lazio is working to renew his contract.

They also report on Atalanta defender, Alessandro Bastoni, who could reportedly be brought back from loan early. Inter are unsure whether to bring him back or not as manager Luciano Spalletti would prefer to have a more experienced player in his squad instead of 18-year-old Bastonint.
