Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Inter’s Sporting Directors, Piero Ausilio and Walter Sabatini are planning to be aggressive during this transfer market. They have made it clear that they need to reinforce the squad in defence and most importantly add a trequartista. Their focus is to obtain a spot in Champions League by investing in talented players, such as Javier Pastore, Ramires and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The directors plan to evaluate the current squad, reinforce it now and make sales in the summer window.
Javier Pastore tops the list as he has been shown the cold shoulder in Paris. Pastore wants Inter so that he can solidify a spot in Argentina’s World Cup roster for Russia 2018. He had much success at Palermo and knows Sabatini very well, which could formulate a transfer this winter. PSG are asking for €25 million, while Inter are hoping to acquire him on a two-year-loan with redemption option.
Moreover, Ramires has been open to a move to Serie A, a decision is awaiting his case as well. The alternative choice to Pastore is Mkhitaryan. The only trouble with this transfer is that Inter are only allowed one Non-EU player. If Ramires were to transfer to Inter, Mkhitaryan would not be eligible to play for Inter.
