Italian media outlet Sky Sports Italia report that Inter coach Luciano Spalletti feels he is lacking a back-up to Nerazzurri captain and striker Mauro Icardi.
According to the report, the former Roma coach wants Inter to bring in a player that can act as cover for Mauro Icardi who has been in lethal form so far this season scoring 18 times in 20 Serie A fixtures. Spalletti reportedly feels that he lacks a valid reserve attacker, someone who can give the Argentinian international striker a break.
Sky Sports Italia reports further that neither Italian international Eder nor French youngster Yann Karamoh have convinced Spalletti enough to feel that he trusts them to act as cover for Icardi. This claim has not been confirmed by Inter, however the stats do speak in favor of the story as Eder has played a total of 194 minutes so far whilst Karamoh has featured only 44 minutes in total this season.
Eder is a fucking SPECTATOR. Please sell him or bench him or demote him to the youngster’s team asap

” He might not be a household name but Inter’s Belgian starlet is attracting strong attention from the likes of Liverpool and Southampton.
The Standard Liege youth product was included in Spalletti’s squad for the season, with the club’s defensive options proving threadbare. Disaster struck, however, when Vanheusden collapsed with a cruciate ligament injury in September.
The Nerazzurri may be reluctant to part with the 18-year-old, whilst Liverpool’s defensive crisis has been soothed by the arrival of another Flemish stopper in the form of Virgil van Dijk.
With Liverpool scouts highly recommending Vanheusden though, expect Klopp and others to come in for his signature.”
it’s pretty sad that this team is looking for a backup to Icardi when they spent 30 mill for Gabi-gol and aren’t even considering him as an option for the bench…..
Jovetic in my mind had a decent pre-season… He could be what we lack in attack, still…
plus his long range effort is better than anyone in our team, except for Candreva
honestly, I’m less and less convinced by … spalleti.
It was a mistake when inter let jovetic left. He can play both as a striker and as player behind striker.
But he cant play with icardi
I am not sure about that. But if jojo still there, spalletti have more option to play different tactics.
In pre-season, if i remember correct Icardi was injuried or something; Jovetic was used, and to me Inter with him as stiker we had someone that involved wingers and midfielders in a way Icardi cannot..
he links well with Perisic and Candreva on the preseasons. definitely better than Eder in technique, finishing and positioning
When the midfield cannot get to Icardi, Jovetic more towards a false-9 or other creative build-up-involved striker role…in preseason I see a memory of more getting inside the box, with more firepower/windows to finish available… higher possesion aided by involving a striker that can once in a while do something… out of the blue/boaz; Quadrangel Gabriel/Thoth. The meanings within our jersey… to explain the correspondence within my ‘name’.. The not mentioned reason why the Milano-derby has the name pointing to M… Funny how what is needed, is what they wear represent in symbolism..
Spaletti must learn from wenger on how to trust youngster like pinamonti, karamoh
And what have Wenger won beside useless FA cups and they are out of it too this week lol
I want to see youngsters play as well but the truth is Pinamonti and Karamoah are primvera level players and should not be used as rotation players by any top team. Just look at RM this season and their bench, lots of young players who need constant playing time and most of the time they are not ready for first team action in big club.
Im not talking about trophy, im talking about the courage to trust on our youngster
Totally agree with you..Inter lack of courage to trust their youngster, even they have won so many trophies in Primavera level..
Well I do agree on that. Heck, in last match I wish he would come on instad of Naga. I would certainly prefer him instead of eder or the incoming babiany.
Yes, Your’re right. But it isn’t so obviuos when we didn’t play in UCL since 2011 I guess. Did Arsenal play in UCL that time? Mostly yes.
True but our aim since 2011 is always to qualify for cl which means dont trust youth, classic italy style.
Eder was awsome in pre-season while Icardi was injured, vs chelsea, bayern and villareal.. somehow seems a completely different player iwhen given a chance since, very heavy and clumsy on the ball. when well have a julio cruz again… anyway we need AMF and LWF before vice-Icardi + i think that with more creative power in the middle and wings, Eder can return to scoring.
pinamonti ? karamoh is winger. weird article.
Pinomonti is destined to become one of many young Italian players who are never given a chance, are sold for next to nothing or given away, and then have a good career in Serie A, whilst we waste more money on a below average striker from some non-EU country …. good old Inter!!
We should get babacar from fiorentina, he’s cheap and seems decent as a rotation player
Eder stats’ in Inter jersey amounts to 12 goals in 72 appearances so for…. And Master Ausilio just rewarded him with a new contract… Congrats we’ve tied him until 2021 when he’s 35, maybe by the he would have reached the 20 goals threshold…
This exactly. If Spalleti is not using him then send him away but instead the guru felt that he is Italian International and will work great.
Even more surprising is that some fans actually defend that clown and his decisions. I tell you what, Sack this guy and bring Leonardo or someone with brains and you will experience a real project.
Nope without investment nobody can do nothing.
Like the 100 millions wasted on Mario, Kondog, and Gabigol for instance ?
Sorri then but why dont you add kovacic, perisik, murillo, sktiniar and other big signings. You will get a number that maybe excell coutinho transfer fee to barcelona. Sunning policy to sell first before buy arent kind of investment that can help this inter to be better.
What about Kovacic ? I dont get inter fans talking about him like he is some star or something, but at least we made profit on him I agree.
Perisic was already a well known player who was performing well in a top league.
Murillo is a headless chicken, although he should have been kept to add depth to our defense actually.
No matter how you look at it, Ausilio’s track record aint that great sorry. Money was spent but a lot of it was simply wasted on mid table team players…
I believe in sabatini not for ausilio anymore. Look at the impact sabatini have put on by brought quality like valero, cancelo, skriniar, and dalbert. They are not superstar but they have been made this inter better since they come. Inter just need more investment to cover some area especially midfield and defense.
But zhang never really invest some money, they just use money from selling players.
if you spend another 100 mill and you end up with the next Mario, Kondog, and Gabigol then how does spending money make this team better? it just makes things worse with FFP !
F*ck Ffp….and f*ck you as well
With sabatini and spalletti, i believe cheap but quality player will come.
may i remind you that if you expect the next Coutinho to Join inter for 3.8 million euros that the only sporting director that could ever make that move happen for Inter is Branca and he’s been replaced by Ausilio who spent 115 mill on Gabi-one-Gol + Kondogbia + Joao Mario……..looking at that list 90 mill for Higuain is a steal !!
Higuain best season was in napoli and would never reach that level anymore. Napoli was smart to sold him to juve with that amount of money knowing that soon he will be downgraded.
well when you consider that inter bough Kondogbia + Gabi-one-gol + Joao Mario for 115 million euros combined and neither of the 3 are on the team let alone the bench let alone the starting lineup ….. 90 mill for Higuain is a steal !
They all gone, while higuain still there. Sooner or later you will be regret that higuain still there.
I don’t remember the exact value but in the last couple years Inter have spent round bout 500m(inc tax and bonuses). Yes, that amount of money is nothing in today’s football thanks to psg and city but give such money to team like monaco, dortmund, Valencia heck even fiorentina or lazio and see where they end up.
Boring news who cares sell both these average crap
So Karamoh is a ST as SKY finally discovered!
He has been used as a supporting striker in a couple of games – maybe that´s whats meant…
