Barcelona full back Aleix Vidal was excluded from Ernesto Valverde’s squad that saw off Levante on Sunday due to the transfer market Spanish news outlet Sport have revealed.

The Spaniard has attracted interest from both former club Sevilla and Valencia from within Spain as well as Inter from abroad.

The 28-year-old, who is predominantly a right back but also capable of playing on either wing, has found it difficult to nail down a regular starting berth under Valverde this season. In Barcelona’s 29 games played in all competitions, Vidal has appeared in 15 games, scoring twice and contributing three assists. He has also found himself outwith the match day squad no less than seven times, including the exclusion mentioned above.

Vidal has come in to links with the Nerazzurri previously but no move ever came to fruition. He made the switch to the Nou Camp back in 2015 and is under contract with the Blaugrana through to the summer of 2020.
