Inter and city rivals Milan are to fight for the signature of Barcelona’s Rafinha according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

The overcrowding in the Barcelona midfield could see the Brazilian moved on whether that be on a temporary or permanent basis. Milan are long term admirers of the La Masia academy graduate while Inter are newly interested in him. Due to Financial Fair Play restrictions imposed on them, Inter would only be able to acquire the 24-year-old on loan.

Rafinha has not played this season whatsoever due to an injury he sustained back in May of last year. A loan move could present an opportunity to get back up to speed in a less crowded environment where pressure is unlikely to be as high as it is at the Nou Camp.

Since making his first team debut, Rafinha has went on to appear no less than 78 times for the Blaugrana. He has scored 11 goals and assisted eight and has also earned two caps for the Brazilian national team.
