According to FCInterNews.it, Inter and Barcelona midfielder Rafinha have reached an agreement in principal over a move to the Nerazzurri during the January transfer window.

However, there are certainly road blocks in order to proceed with the transfer.  Inter are looking to solely obtain Rafinha on loan with an option to buy, while Barcelona are solely looking to sell the player on loan with an obligation to buy.

One of the key factors is the agreement in principal between the player and the Nerazzurri for which Rafinha and entourage can push strongly to make the move happen. Rafinha, who has recently returned from injury after eight months, is looking to make an impact with Inter.  Since playing time in Barcelona would be an issue especially with the return of Ousmane Dembele from injury and the acquisition of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, Rafinha wants playtime in order to showcase his quality to obtain a place in the Brazil team for the World Cup this summer.
