According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Lazio and Netherlands international defender Stefan de Vrij should be making a decision in the next 48 hours on whether or not he will join Inter on a free transfer in June.
The Dutchman is not the only centre back on Inter’s mind though. Alessandro Bastoni, who is currently owned by Inter but on loan atAtalanta could be a simple deal which can give the necessary depth that Luciano Spalletti needs in that position. Spalletti would however prefer having a defender who has more experience than the Italian youth international. Another name that Inter have targeted is Galatasaray’s Maicon.
Another area that Inter are looking to improve is the midfield. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Ramires are two players that are strongly being linked to Inter, however, only one of the players could potentially join solely because Inter has one slot left for non-EU.
Moreover, the Milan based newspaper add that Joao Mario and or Marcelo Brozovic are the two player that the Nerazzurri are willing to sacrifice in this mercato session, especially with Financial Fair Play lingering until the 30th of June, 2018.
