It is now full steam ahead for Inter in their pursuit of Rafinha having struck a deal with Barcelona over a loan with an option to redeem the Brazilian midfielder.

FCInterNews.it report that there is still one slight hitch in the deal and it related to the 24-year-old’s physical condition after only just returning from a serious long term injury.

Inter are not only pushing for Rafinha but Ramires also. The Nerazzurri continue to seek a loan agreement with their cousins Jiangsu Suning for the midfielder who has expressed a desire to join Inter. Like the Rafinha deal, there is a problem in this deal and instead of it being related to the 29-year-old’s fitness it is his salary and who will be paying it.

Moreover, Lyon have put a stop to Inter’s move for centre back Mapou Yanga Mbiwa by telling the Nerazzurri that they would only allow the Frenchman to leave on a permanent basis. With this news, Inter are to swiftly turn their attention to other targets in Marseille’s Rolando and Genoa’s Armando Izzo.

Rolando, who previously played for Inter a few seasons ago, has an expiring contract and would represent a cheap option that would bring experience that would help shore up Luciano Spalletti’s defence. As for Izzo, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has been in contact with his representatives over a transfer. Despite being liked by Ausilio and technical coordinator Walter Sabatini, Spalletti is not so keen on the Italian, who Genoa want no less than €12 million for.
