Following his interview where he confirmed a desire to join Inter, optimism about Ramires transferring to Inter has increased in the Inter camp Gazzetta dello Sport report.

The player simply declared he would be happy to join the Nerazzurri and Inter sporting director’s Piero Ausilio and Walter Sabatini are working on concluding a deal. In fact, they are hoping to get passed the hurdles – mainly related to his salary – within the next week.

With no loan fee likely to be involved, Ramires’ proposed switch from Nanjing to Milan is a Financial Fair Play friendly move for Inter. The Nerazzurri can not spend big sums this window and have to rely on loans, free transfers or very low cost transfers.

The 30-year-old Brazilian joined the Chinese Super League club back in January of 2016 from Premier League side Chelsea. Last season Ramires made 32 appearances for Jiangsu in all competitions. He scored 11 times and contributed four assists.
