Inter have agreed a deal in principle with Barcelona midfielder Rafinha over personal terms and are now in talks with the Blaugrana over the Brazilian’s transfer to the San Siro.
Mundo Deportivo report that a redemption figure as the clubs work on a loan deal. Inter want a loan with optional redemption with redemption figure to be less than €20 million while Barcelona want Inter to have an obligation to redeem the 24-year-old and the redemption fee to be €20 million minimum. An obligatory redemption is something that Inter have not yet contemplated but negotiations are ongoing.
Rafinha has just returned from a long term injury that has had him sidelined since May last year. He has not yet made an appearance for Barcelona this season due to this and there are some fears regarding his physical condition after so long out of action.
The brother of Bayern Munich star Thiago, Rafinha came through the famed La Masia academy at Barcelona and made his first team debut in the 2011/12 season.
what happen to Pastore ?
I hope we get him as think he would compleemt Borja well and can interchange with him as a trequartista and as part of the midfield two in Spalletti’s preferred 4-2-3-1 formation.
Also known to track back and help out with the defense so would help take the pressure off Vecino and Gagliardini who don’t get much help when Brozovic and Joao Mario are in the line-up.
He can score goals from distance as well but would prefer him to focus on helping us retain possession in the final third as well as creating goal scoring opportunities for the team down the middle which has been severely lacking this season.
Whether he is recovered from his long injury will be the main risk here but hopefully we do thorough checks and if he is ready to go think would be a great addition to the team.
He’s a bettar CM than a CAM. We still need a CAM.
Anyway, comparing to Brozo and Mario, he is an upgrade, but I like Ramires more than him.
I think he has the attributes to be a good CAM and think some of the perception that he is primarily is a CM also stems from how Barca is set up tactically.
I would be in favor of getting both him and Ramires and waving good bye to both Brozovic and Joao Mario as long as the latter transfer is FFP accretive.
