Former Inter striker Jurgen Klinsmann recalled his years at Inter in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

“I remember everything and it’s just beautiful things. I was overwhelmed by the way people treated me in my years at Inter. Italians had incredible patience with me, they took a word out of my mouth and built a whole sentence for me.

“Inter will always be part of me. I always watch the matches on television. It is very demanding at Inter and it makes you feel the great responsibility you have, that of giving your best in every single game.”

He concluded the interview by discussing what was so special about the Inter he was a part of between 1989 and 1992.

“There was Brehme, Matthäus, Bergomi, Beppe Baresi, Zenga, Serena, Berti, Ferri. It was a special team because each of us had enormous respect for each other, I will never forget the dinners at Pellegrini’s house, he was a wonderful president for me, he taught me a lot. “
