Tuttosport estimate Inter’s owners Suning have spent around €215 million in the transfer market since taking over the reigns of the club around 18 months ago.
Approximately €77 million of that sum was spent on the signings of Joao Mario and Gabriel Barbosa, who have not only not lived up to expectations but are now affecting Inter’s current transfer window. The Turin newspaper also mentioned Dalbert – who joined for a fee that could rise to €28 million – but cut the Brazilian some slack due to the fact his recent performances have suggested he is improving and adapting.
Inter are limited with what they can do on the transfer market due to the financial fair play agreement. Suning’s problem is not a lack of spending but rather not making the most of some of the money spent and relying too heavily on the word of agent Kia Joorabchian, who represents both Joao Mario and Gabigol.
Inter will need to raise approximately €50 million by 30 June to meet the figures required to free them from the shackles of FFP.
we are hated the coach and director when they are going to take paulinho or yaya toure..
and we are hyped so bad when we take kdog over yaya, and gabigol.
look at now, yaya still play with city, and paulinho played at top performance with barca.
What Cammy is saying is Kia is a joke.
Everybody keep yabbadi-yabadoo-ing over Gabigol and Joao Mario, but Italian press are very silent on Milan’s Andre Silva.
I dont care if milan destroying himself. We are here only care about our beloved nerazzuri
If only they can do the same to buy player that we really need, like nainggolan or vidal, maybe we will be in better situation right now.
Every player is a gamble, even nainggolan or vidal can flop in inter
When you buy a player without permission from the coach, its a big mistake. Mancini admit that JM n gabi wasnt his idea
Well said, mate.
I agree with you. What I want to say is, the probability to become flop player will be smaller if the player is asked by the coach. Our coaches never asked for Gabi or Mario. That’s why they didn’t fit to the team.
It is easy to blame here and there. Blame the management or Ausilio for Gabiflopgol and J. Mario transfer is easy for us.
I don’t blame them tho as I still remember the hype when they came join us. Everyone was happy. Gabi was a pure talent from brazil. J. mario was a starter for portugal national team. Sunning took the gamble to invest in them. I was the happiest person when Suning decided to take them. If it doesn’t work then it’s not suning fault. They just don’t explode here like pirlo, bonucci , quaresma and so on.. I would be mad if suning take someone like T. Rocchi!!
I guess as fans our hopes are indeed swayed by high transfer fees as we tend to hope that the managements made the right call. But don’t think it makes any sense to equate that euphoria to Ausilio who is paid good money to make sure the players we buy are the right fit for the team. I do believe that Gabigol was perhaps forced on him by Sunning but he was definitely all-in for Joao Mario and talked up the transfer when talks with Sporting were in their infancy.
However even those two transfers aside Ausilio has made numerous mistakes in his transfer dealings and I am really surprised that he has still managed to keep his job this long.
What I do give him credit for is that he is innovative in structuring deals so that we can continue to have the ability to invest despite working in the shadows of FFP. But his nearly all of his calls have been off and think there are better options out there.
I am not a big fan of Igli Tare but he has done a great job with the limited budget he has had at Lazio and been responsible for rediscovering/identifying gems like Milinkovic-Savic, Luis Alberto, Felipe Anderson, Immobile and De Vrij to just name a few in recent years, all with a net spend of roughly half of what Ausilio has had to play with.
Yep, it’s only right to criticize Ausilio, because he has been here a long time and his track record is average at best. It’s a lame excuse to say he took gambles and wasn’t lucky. If the guy handling the transfer business is gambling he really shouldn’t be doing what he does. Someone like Rube’s Marotta knows his job and gets his transfers right.
About JM, he’s not a bad player really. I bet he will prove himself to be that 40 million worth player somewhere else than Inter. They just bought a player that doesn’t fit to this team. I think he’d do well in Spain for example playing in 4-3-3 formation the same role he plays for his NT. Unfortunately Inter probably won’t be getting back the money they paid for him considering his current form.
Not everyone was happy. I was really disappointed when we didn’t get gabriel jesus and then pursued gabiflopgol. I commented here on an article when He took medical at Inter that He is so so player. And when J. Mario joined Inter I predicted him to be kdog 2 lol.
We paid premium price for both players based on their potential, solely. Thats a huge gamble to take when you have FFP breathing down your neck. Unfortunately, we tried to do something spectacular by splashing out the cash and now its back firing. Like i said, gamble, had one of those player lived up to his potential, he could be worth a shit ton and then all you folks would have had nothing to say against suning, Zhang, ausillo, or anyone for that matter.. hang on to your emotions, we will get there soon!
hahaha, they will learn, easy, easy,… it takes time ! ;-)))
Well if I were the owner of Inter, and had accepted the sporting director to spend 216 miles euro on players in one year, I’d too tell them to shot the f!! K up when they come crawling back for more money in January! Seriously- listening to an agent Kia jorab-what’s his face’ kost us almost 80mil euro!
Imagine to have that amount of money to spend now on players!
Can’t help thinking back on why Mancini left us when the club started buying players for sky high prices, he didn’t want!
Hopelly Sabatini os here to make sure money will be spend wisely from now on.
The deals for JM and Gabi with Kia were made by the owners themselves. I don’t rate Ausilio very high, but he probably didn’t have much say in those two deals.
Yes your right, Kia spend a lot of that summer with Suning.. Still would have been great to have those 80mil now..
What about GagliarDogbia situation?
We bought the overrated Italian just for the sake of his nationality, and let Kondo go, who is performing way much better than him right now.
I guess Gaglia is Ausilio’s buy. Gaglia has been average this season, but I don’t miss Kondogbia. Hopefully Valencia buy him.
he means those players this season, kdog performed 10 times better than galia
Do you think Kdog would be performing great or better than Gagliardini if he was still with us? I don’t think he would.
I think yes. Our shitty players play better under Mr. Spal’s guidance and the coach took more time to work with him before he moved. Why? To convince him to stay because he knew he can use Kdog.
We will never know, but I was never convinced about Kdog. Maybe the pressure and tactical Italian game was too much for him here.
Fair enough
We saw what he did in preseason. He was God awful. He is too simple for the Italian game. You all have short memories.
Gagliardini is underperforming because he is burdened with more defensive duties than last year.
probably would new role new coach
gaglia > kdog
i dont want scumbag like kdog who didnt attend training just to push his move to valencia. I still hate those face.
He didn’t go see rubes game
they are both guilty
None of those players were asked by the coach. They refused to give what the coaches need, but they easily spend the money for those players. Smh
If the deals for Ramires, Rafinha and Lisandro Lopes all go through I think he has done ab awesome job, if he manage to include Pastore I’d vote him president of italy
Ramires would be good for sure. Lisandro is not a bad deal if it´s only loan with an option. About Rafinha I´m a bit sceptical, but still probably motivated Rafinha is better than underachieving JM. If they´d manage to get Pastore I´d be so happy. After that we would have three new midfielders. That´s quite a lot. Hopefully they could adapt quickly to Spalletti´s tactics and Italian football.
Agree on everything (as usual 😉 ), I too am a bit sceptical about Rafinha. The Rafinha we have all youtube’ed isn’t the player who´s gonna arrive for us. The player we´ll get is a player who hasn’t played since April and isn’t in shape like the “youtube-Rafinha” is. But he´s at Inter to get into the Brazilian squad so hopefully he´s ready to do his part.
I guess we´re going for him because he´s cheaper than Deulafeu…
I see him mainly as a stand in for Candreva on the right hand side, especially is we manage to send Mario to Sevilla in exchange for Joaquin Correra who´s an attacking midfielder.
The only deal right now that seems almost certain is Lisandro. I don´t understand why Saba didn´t sign Mascherano as Ramires replacement to Jiangsu, because that way Jiangsu would have probably been happy to give Ramires to Inter, but I guess he has something else in mind.
I´m still not convinced we will be able to sign Ramires and Rafinha, because those newspapers are full of bull. I see Pastore coming only during last hours of mercato if nobody pays straight cash for him before that. And if nobody pays for him PSG might just end up keeping him even against his will.
Just by checking out Joaquin Correa´s stats I have a hard time understanding what he has to offer to us. Franco Vasquez would be much better, but Sevilla probably don´t want to get rid of him. It´s very hard to operate when you have almost zero funds, but have to hope for the best. I fear we might end up with scraps and possibly worse team than we had before the transfer window opened if JM is loaned in exchange for freaking Joaquin Correa.
Ausilio, where r u? still in the mountains?
