Former Napoli and Palermo Striker Edison Cavani has established himself amongst one of the worlds most prolific strikers in recent years. His career exploded into life when he joined Napoli from Palermo in the summer of 2010. His performances and goals for the Italian side earned him a move to French team Paris St. Germain in 2013 and he has continued to grow as a player and remain consistent scoring over a hundred goals for the Paris club.
In an exclusive interview with Sportnotizie24.it, his agent Fernando Guglielmone confessed that a future in the black and blue stripes of Inter is not just fantasy. Cavani like Inter target Javier Pastore returned back late to training after the Christmas break and his agent was quick to try and calm and settle the nerves of fans.
“I can say honestly, that we have no intentions of leaving France at the moment.”
With Inter’s captain Mauro Icardi currently attracting interest from Europe’s top clubs such a Real Madrid and PSG he was asked if the French side are genuinely interested and if Cavani could be an option for Inter as a possible replacement for any deal that would see the Argentine striker move away from the San Siro.
“There has been no contact and I don’t believe that Inter could afford him at the moment. Who knows what will happen in the future though, anything is possible in football.”
i want a hungry striker ready to replace icardi lol not an old fart in 4 years when he joins
I’d love to have Cavani at Inter, but only if we play with two strikers in attack, but for back up to Icardi its better to be a lower salary demanding player.
cavani, ask forlan for the right time for inter.
Cavani is probably better, but he’s already 30 years old and Icardi is our captain. We can’t bring Cavani and bench / sell Icardi. Our long-term future is much better with Icardi.
We’re not a retirement home, motherfucker.
that’s what we wish, but among players,
there is obviously another perception,
made by our moves for pensioner-players in past.
Yea when he’s 34, fuck off
One day… the guy will be 31 next month.
what a prospect, ausilio, take care of him !
That would be a dream come true..
But i hope that happens as soon as possible and not when his golden days are well beyond him.
Forza Inter
?? His golden days are well beyond him already..he’s only scoring because of that farmer league he plays in…in the event Icardi leaves why would we spend that money on Cavani? Lmao
nowadays peole generally … live longer !
