Former Inter and Italy defender Riccardo Ferri spoke to TMW Radio today about Inter and their potential movements in the January transfer market. He was asked what he thought Inter needed in order to get UEFA Champions League next season.

“Rafinha  has had injury problems and hasn’t been playing regularly. I don’t see how this signing favours Inter at all. Ramires plays in a very different league altogether at the moment, but he has quality. The January transfer market doesn’t give you too many options however. There has been talk of Deulofeu who is a player that can make the difference. These last two names convince me more. With Ramires you can alternate you formation more with the possibility of playing a 4-3-1-2 for example. I hope that they can sign some players that can give the manger a few more options in the team.”

Finally he was asked about the lack of options in central defence for Spalletti.

“It’s no secret that Inter are missing a central defender in their squad, Spalletti was provoked last weekend. It is a position where the numbers are always lower but in view of injuries the problem has been further exposed.”
