The transfer saga of the year already seems to be Mauro Icardi to Real Madrid. The Spanish giants are keen on making the Inter captain their main striker and reports in Spain suggest that whether its now or in the summer, his move is now inevitable.

Despite denials from Icardi’s entourage of late, it would seem that Real Madrid will get their man eventually. According to FCInter1908.it the press in Spain’s capital appear certain now of the Argentine’s striker transfer to Los Blancos. They report that Icardi knows that he will be leaving Milan for Madrid sooner or later. If not in January then in the summer after the FIFA World Cup in Russia. They also report that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has a verbal agreement in place to sign the former Sampdoria striker for €100 million. They also suggest that Icardi has expressed his intentions to wear the number nine shirt currently worn by Frenchman Karim Benzema.

If the transfer does go ahead it would seem that Benzema would be the player to make way for Icardi with FCInter1908.it reporting that a €40 million transfer to Arsenal would be the players destination.
