Jiangsu Suning are now unwilling to allow midfielder Ramires to depart the club according to reports.

“The Chinese club’s owners do not want to let the Brazilian go, they consider him the soul of the team,” are the exact words from the Premium Sport report.

The 30-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with joining Inter on loan in a move that Inter directors deemed financial fair play friendly due to the fact it would have simply been a swap deal between two sister clubs meaning fees involves would be minimal.

The Brazilian midfielder has shared a desire to complete a switch to Inter more than once but it now looks like he will be remaining at the Chinese club for the time being.

Ramires joined Jiangsu back in January 2016 and was one of the club’s big name signings alongside Alex Teixeira from Shakhtar Donetsk. Last season, the former Chelsea man featured 32 times, scoring 11 and assisting four.
