After returning to the levels that led to Inter buying him back in 2015 while on loan with Valencia, Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande are interested in signing Geoffrey Kondogbia this transfer window according to a report from Spanish news outlet SuperDeporte.

They further report however that Valencia have no intention of giving up on the 24-year-old and plan to exercise their option to turn the loan move in to a permanent one in the summer at the cost of €25 million. Moreover, the player himself is not interested in a move to play in the Chinese Super League.

Since moving to Valencia as part of a deal that saw Els Taronges full back Joao Cancelo go the other way, Kondogbia has made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Mestalla Stadium Outfit. The Frenchman has managed to net three goals and assist one during that time.

Guangzhou are currently managed by former Inter defender Fabio Cannavaro and have Jackson Martinez among other big names in their ranks.
