Inter and Barcelona still remain some way apart in negotiations over midfielder Rafinha according to a report from Spanish news outlet Marca.

Inter’s offer of a loan with €20 million optional redemption option has been knocked back by the Blaugrana who are holding out for a €35 million compulsory redemption fee.

The two parties will meet again to discuss the potential move further and some variables that could be tweaked to seal the deal such as automatic redemption after a set number of games or something of the like.

The 24-year-old Brazilian has not played this season due to not long returning from a long term injury. He is highly rated by Barcelona despite having world class players like Andres Iniesta and Ivan Rakitic ahead of him in the pecking order. He is a product of the Spanish side’s famed La Masia academy and made his first team debut back in the 2013/14 season.
