Yesterday, there was a surprise meeting between Piero Ausilio and agent Giuseppe Riso and according to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri Sporting Director and the intermediary, discussed other potential midfielders to get this January as a plan-B to Ramires, who remains an uncertainty.
“Riso has three players whose characteristics could help Inter, they are Cristante, Baselli and Jankto” TuttoSport reports but all three are very difficult to obtain.
Atalanta remain strong competitors in all three competitions this season, while the newly appointed Torino Manager, Walter Mazzarri believes Baselli is untouchable and finally Udinese would only accept a big offer for Jankto with AC Milan and Arsenal also interested, as explained by the Turin based newspaper.
The most attainable of these players, would be Bryan Cristante, due to the excellent relationship between Atalanta President Percassi and Suning as a result of the Roberto Gagliardini transfer last January, with a two year loan formula which would cost €2 million with an obligation to redeem at €20 million, plus bonuses, for a total of €28 million. In this aspect, it can be assumed that it would be acceptable to offer a similar formula, but Atalanta’s situation is dissimilar to last year and so it will be difficult to persuade them to accept.
