Former French international midfielder Olivier Dacourt, who had the joy of playing for both Roma and Inter during his playing career, has had his say on this weekend’s upcoming match between his two former sides at San Siro. Here is what he told Forzaroma.info:

“Neither of the two teams go into the match as favourites. It will be a great match – a special match – but after five minutes there could be a red card which would change the entire outlook of the game. In my opinion it will be a match that is decided by an episode: a penalty kick, a sending off, something like that…

“Spalletti and Di Francesco? Without doubt, Spalletti will always have to thank Roma who helped him grow as a coach. He won his first trophy with the Giallorossi and became the great coach he is now via the success he enjoyed during his first spell at Trigoria. This is certainly an added value for Inter. As for Di Francesco, he did very well at Sassuolo. He knows Roma and the whole environment surrounding the club. He will be able to get the team back on track. Di Francesco, the man I got to know, is exceptional. He is a very good person, firstly, and that is always an important quality for someone who wants to become a great coach.”
