Alfredo Pedullà has provided some updates on Inter’s ongoing pursuit of new signings, as they look to bolster Luciano Spalletti’s squad ahead of what is sure to be a challenging second half of the season. The Italian sports journalist had the following to say on two of the Nerazzurri’s main transfer targets:
“Gaitán is a difficult operation just now, especially because he has not yet secured a European passport and so he would be required to fill a non-EU spot in Inter’s squad. As for Ramires, we must remain patient and stop short of closing the doors on his arrival.”
It therefore looks unlikely that the Argentine will join from Atlético Madrid, though it is too early to rule it out completely. Meanwhile, Piero Ausilio is in Barcelona today with a view to completing a deal for Brazilian midfielder Rafinha. Gerard Deulofeu’s future will also reportedly be up for discussion.
Benfica ripped atletico off on him
The winger from Atletico that I would much rather prefer is Carrasco. Gaitan hasn’t impressed at Atletico at all. Maybe if they agree to give him for us on a loan with an option to buy at summer for 10M, but I doubt that since they paid closer to 30M for him.. Carrasco on the other hand is younger and really skilled with the ball. His potential can really explode in the coming years.
how much do you reckon he’d cost?
Given his relatively young age and skillset I’d see a 35-40M pricetag reasonable, but with the current market he might be closer on the 50M mark. But Atletico spent quite a bit on the Costa deal, so maybe they could be persuaded to do a lower deal. A loan with obligatory purchase set at 35-40M would seem perfect to me.
Atletico could also be interested in a central midfielder, because Gabi isn’t getting any younger. My dream scenario would be to include Brozovic on the deal someway.
No chance. If perisic is 55m he’s somewhere thereabt. Baller
Carrasco would be amazing. i wish they would have accepted the trade for J Mario.
They seem like players whose values would match the easiest. I’d much rather still see us trade him with Brozovic and keep Joao Mario in the squad. Ofc Brozo to Carrasco swap would need some cash settlement on our part included in the deal and we seem to be short of that at the moment.
Ya that would be good too. Honestly the only reason i wouldn’t want to get rid of Brozo would be to keep Perisic happy. but then again if we got Carrasco, he very well could replace Perisic too.
