Inter hope to complete a deal to sign Rafinha as soon as possible but in the off chance things fall through with Barcelona, the Nerazzurri will not be unprepared due to the fact they are simultaneously working on alternatives for the Brazilian Gazzetta dello Sport have detailed.

Sevilla’s Joaquin Correa has been idenfitied as a potential alternative to the 24-year-old. Correa is capable of playing on either wing or as an attacking midfielder and is no stranger to Italian football having played for Sampdoria up until 18 months ago. The 23-year-old Argentine holds an Italian passport and has made a total of 19 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four and assisting the same amount.

The second alternative to Rafinha is Nicolas Gaitan, who plies his trade for Atletico Madrid. The former Benfica winger has failed to live up to expectations since joining the Spanish capital club but due to not having a European passport makes things difficult due to Inter’s interest in another non-EU player in Ramires.
