Spanish newspaper Il Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Inter have given Barcelona a deadline of midday today to accept or decline their offer for Brazilian midfielder, Rafinha. The two clubs have been taking part in lengthy drawn out negotiations. It would appear now that Inter have are tiring of the slow process and have force the ultimatum onto the Spanish club in a bud to get the deal done sooner rather than later.

The offer currently on the table from Inter is that of a loan until the end of the season with the right to buy the player for a fee of €35 million. Inter have set the deadline and an ultimatum: Reply by today lunchtime one way or another. Take it or leave it. With the transfer window deadline closing in, Inter are looking to get their work done as soon as possible and don’t want to be wasting time and wish to focus on realistic targets.

Il Mundo Deportivo report that Inter’s Director, Piero Ausilio, met with the players’ agents today but it is thought that it didn’t go as well as expected. It is thought that Barcelona are looking to go to the English market for possible deals for the Brazilian as they feel that they can get a better deal but with the player already having expressed his wish to join Inter and is not willing to entertain any other offers.

Both the players’ entourage and Inter appear to be unsure of what is going to happen especially with Barcelona’s stance ever changing. Just 15 days ago they were pushing for the player to join Celta Vigo with manager Ernesto Valverde telling the player that he will struggle to find any space at the club. However this week the same Valverde started with Rafinha against Espanyol. Either way it would appear now that the next 24 hours will be decisive in deciding the Brazilian’s future.
