Argentinian central defender Lisandro lopez was officially unveiled as the Inter’s leatst signing yesterday via Facebook and the club’s official TV channel, Inter TV.

The player who joins the Nerazzurri on loan until the end of the season began by explaining what this transfer means to him: “I was very happy with the call from Inter, it all happened very quickly and it’s a dream come true for me. To be at Inter means a lot to me. This is a club that kids dream of playing for. I thank God for this opportunity. I want to help the team reach our objective, we want to qualify for the next Champions League.

“I’m very satisfied with how the first days have gone, all of my teammates are very humble guys. I’ve found a great group. I can bring my experience to Inter, I’m here to help bring something more. There are excellent players in my position such as Miranda and Skriniar who welcomed me very well and I thank them for that. I’m ready to play straight away, it will be up to the Coach to decide. Spalletti has made a good impression, he’s a good and serious Coach who works a lot on tactics” the former Benfica player continued.

Lopez was asked how he thinks he will fit into the Serie A and the great strikers the league posts replyign that: “I’ve marked players such as Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar but I believe that Messi was the best of all. I’ve seen Mauro Icardi here, in just a few training sessions I’ve seen what he’s worth and he’s also welcomed me and he’s helping me settle as well as possible.”

In conclusion Lisandro Lopez was asked about his friendship with Nerazzurri treble hero Julio Cesar with whom he became great friends during their time together at Benfica stating: “Julio Cesar is a great friend of mine, on and off the pitch. He helped me a lot in Portugal by giving advice. He’s phenomenal, one of the best players that I’ve ever known.”
