Some notable behind the scenes details have emerged from the negotiations that brought Rafinha to Inter from Barcelona. As reported in Spain by “Elgoldigital”, Barcelona have insisted on obtaining a verbal agreement or a gentlemen’s agreement but not a real clause, concerning a possible sale of Mauro Icardi in the future. The Argentine striker has long been linked to a move to Real Madrid, but the Blaugrana do not like the idea of seeing one of their former youth players in the white shirt of Real Madrid, and hence the proposal: if Inter decide to sell Icardi, Barcelona should be informed in time and allowed the opportunity to match the offer of the possible buyer, and thus bring back the Argentine to Catalunya. However, this “pact between gentlemen”, according to elgoldigital, would become obsolete if Inter complete the permanent signing of Rafinha at the end of the season, this will free the club from any verbal agreement.

First it’s rubbish, some media BS. Second, even if it’s trus it’d only apply for 6 months? it’s so stupid, by end of season before transfer window is open, we already conclude: where Rafinha return to Barca, or we signed Rafinha, which made the ‘gentleman agreement’ void. So what’s the point?
If I am not mistaken, Icardi himself said that he left Barcelona because their brand of football doesnot suited him and he left for Sampdoria for counter attacking or classic poacher style of role.
Now Icardi have became more complete player (thanks to Mancini) so maybe maybe Barcelona think he will suit them but it is highly unlikely. But one thing is clear, his days in Inter are numbered so Interisti brace yourselves for Icardi sale (like Kovaic sold to buy Kdog).
This is fine, don’t see any issue. We are just giving Barca an opportunity to match or exceed what RM would pay.
This tells me Icardi is living in the summer and Inter is pressuring Real Madrid to pay big money or he is going to Barca
By Rahul Sharma hahahahhaah I thought it was Robin Sharma, I was like wtf?! hahaa
You know that this is media BS, Inter never bought Icardi from Farcelona, so they don’t have to commit to any of this. They can sell Icardi yo R.Mierdid witouth notifying them, also Messi doesnt like Icardi.
I doesnt seems that way in the social media picture of icardi when their together in the national team last time..
They have to keep appearance after all they are representing their home country.
Kook at Ramos an Pique for example that’s one of many examples that I can give.
Messi doesn’t like Icardi is media BS
Why do you think he went being call before to represent Argentina, even gets call now he doesn’t make big appearance, If he wasn’t for his form an numbers he wouldn’t be call to represent Argentina MessiMessi Icardi call up many times, the fact is that they can’t hide the exclusion for not calling him…To the National team they need him. so is no media BS when this has been brought up in different situations!!!
The pressure is from argentine media and figures in the federation (Maradona’s circle of influence), not from Messi. Everything else is media BS. I’ve lived in Italy and now I live in Argentina so if there’s any place where the media is worse than in Italy, it’s right here. Their bs and negativity made Messi quit the national team several times and there was a media boycott all through the qualifications.
I’m Italian and I have live in Spain all is not media BS. Messi had a part of him not been call to the National team.
I have only seen Messi quit the National team once and not several times. The pressure got to him and he left them he comeback.
Aregntina is not Spain. And what exactly is your point?
Where have I say that Spain and Argentina are the same country????
You implied you knew how the argentine media is because you lived in Spain and they are very different. I gave you arguments why Messi has nothing to do with Icardi’s omission from the national team. You haven’t given any arguments to support it.
I never implied anything about the Argentina media..go an read my comment again, I say that I lived in Spain at one point.
I gave you my arguments you are the is not given any arguments.
Is Farcelona the guy who sneaks under your mama’s bed when daddy pops in without notice?
Rubbish
this is so naive in the materialistic world of football
Sure, you can buy him first… can you pay 2,5 billions?
No way.
No way, what?
I don’t see any problem in this agreement. They simply ask for an opportunity to match the offer, not to pay lower. So, we will receive same amount of money.
No way it was happening. :/
That’s what I meant
