The Joao Mario January transfer window soap opera doesn’t seem to want to find an end. Yet again the Portuguese player has rejected another offer as he awaits a more attractive offer from a big club.
According to Portuguese paper Record this time it was the turn of West Ham to have their advances rejected by the midfielder. After turning down both Everton and Watford from the Premier League earlier in the month, Joao Mario is determined to hold out for a more attractive offer. Whereas the rejections of the English clubs were deemed inferior to his expectations two offers that come in from Sevilla and Atletico Madrid in Spain were more to the liking of the player but he rejected both as he did not want to be used as a bargaining chip in any player exchange deal.
With time running out in this window and only 11 days left to find a solution, it seems that the players’ agent, Kia Jorabchian is set to intervene to try and find a destination that pleases the seemingly picky Joao Mario.
back in 2016 i didnt understand why inter were chasing him that badly and agreed to pay such a price. he looked like a decent player, nothing more. made some crosses, some shots back at sporting. nothing special or briliant. no speed, dribbling or smart passes. cant really understand what inter saw in him back then.
I wanna give faith on him, trust him, but it’s really hard due to the fact his very bad performance, and attitude to demand playing time while performance rating suggesting the other way
Why are we wasting our time with this clown.I believe he has stated 3 times he doesn’t want to come to West Ham.Apparently last summer he cost £40m and now can’t get in the team.If West Ham had a deal with an option to buy,Sullivan wouldn’t come anywhere near that figure.Let him wait for a bigger club,he may have a long wait.
