Sky Italia is reporting that in the pre game training session this morning that Santon was preferred to Nagatomo and is strong favourite to start tonight in the Serie A game at home to Roma at the San Siro.

The thinking behind the decision seems to stem from the fact that Luciano Spalletti believes that Santon is physically more adapt to cope with Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, who Eusebio Di Francesco will look to start on the right hand side of his three man attack.

In midfield Spalletti would appear to be going for Roberto Gagliardini as a certainty ahead of Croatian Marcelo Brozovic. Alongside the Italian will be Matias Vecino with Borja Valero sitting in the trequartista role just behind striker Mauro Icardi. No real surprises from Spalletti then as Inter look to regain some form and find a win that has been missing for five games in the league and seven in total including the Coppa Italia games played during December.
