Inter’s latest recruit Rafinha spoke to Inter TV on his thoughts and feelings after his transfer from Barcelona.
“I’m really happy, it’s a great feeling to be here. It’s an important stage in my life and I had a lot of desire to approach this new phase in my career. There have been a lot of important players at Inter who have made history. I want to do my best and give everything to finish as high as possible and win titles with this shirt. I hope to play in as many matches as possible and help the team to reach our objective which is Champions League qualification.”
He proceeded to discuss how having a common language is a help and players he knows in the squad already.
“It’s always nice to have players who speak your language in the squad, I also know Mauro [Icardi], I’ve played with him before.”
He concluded the interview by revealing what position he can play and what shirt number he will have.
“I can cover a lot of roles, be it on the right or left. I’ve chosen the number eight shirt.”

Don’t really know him much, but saw on a local Barca site the reactions by the fans, and they were NOT happy and cursed the management of the club saying Inter is getting a class act player for half of his true price etc… So maybe we have pulled a scoop here?
I´ve read those kind of comments on youtube from Barca fans. Of course him being a La Masia product might be a factor, because fans have a tendency to hype their favorite clubs youth products. But they don´t seem to rate Deulofeu nearly as high as Rafinha. Anyhow, it´s encouraging to read that kind of positive comments about him from Barca fans. We really need him to perform, hopefully he adapts quickly to Spalletti´s tactics.

He’s an and/cmf… he can play wing but most effective in the center or perhaps we will see him swapping w Perisic /Candreva as the game pans out to add some unpredictability to the supporting 3 behind maurito.
But the reality is our full backs… if we had solid guys like Maicon/pupi/even chivu then the 3 amf are more free to move around thus cutting down predictability like how Jose was able to etoo and pandev to devastating effects! We sorely need decent fullbacks at least defensively.. heck even play a cb as a fullback: Murillo could have been great as a defensive rb with his pace and aggression.
Our best bet it do continue w danilo as attacking fullback since he gels with Candreva and play a more defensively solid cb at LB… maybe lisandro since he’s a lefty? Absolutely done with Dalbert and him always looking like he’s gonna cry or insecure liability santon! Nagatomo is a decent backup but forces Ivan to track back… heck with Perisic form right now just play him L back.
Also can spalo please creat a plan B formation something like a 4-4-2 with diamond midfield now that we have a proper amf in rafinha or even brozo?
