Sky Sport journalist Andrea Paventi has analysed Inter’s ongoing problems in the full back department ahead of this weekend’s clash between Inter and third bottom side SPAL.

“The full backs have become a rather big puzzle for Inter manager Luciano SpallettiInter has invested a lot in the summer on the full backs. One is playing and is doing so quite well in Joao Cancelo, while the other, Dalbert, costing almost €28 million including bonuses, is not. In the summer with his arrival the Nerazzurri seemed to have solved the problem at left back, but for now the former Nice player has failed to win a starting spot in Spalletti’s team.”

Paventi concluded by revealing who he feels Spalletti will go with at left back when the Nerazzurri travel to Ferrara for Sunday’s lunchtime kick-off at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.

“The favourite to start on the left against SPAL would be Danilo D’Ambrosio.”
