Sevilla manager Vincenzo Montella has blocked any potential loan move involving Joaquin Correa to Inter according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

With Inter facing difficulty still on the Ramires front, a swap involving Marcelo Brozovic is perhaps not the smartest option as it would then mean the Nerazzurri would be a man down in central midfield.

Inter have long admired Correa and his talents and unless they are willing to splash cash and further complicate financial fair play for themselves – a highly unlikely scenario – it can be presumed that for the time being a move for the 23-year-old Argentine attacker will be put on hold.

Correa joined Sevilla 18 months ago from Sampdoria and made no less than 22 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring five and assisting just as many times.

Moreover, the Milan based newspaper report that a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Nicolas Gaitan has not taken off.
