Daniel Sturridge has told Liverpool that if he is to leave he only wants to do so to Inter according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
Liverpool have given Sturridge the green light to move but demand a €2 million loan fee and a €28.5 million redemption fee, figures and a transfer formula that Inter are understood to be happy with.
The 28-year-old has also attracted interest from West Brom and Crystal Palace and it was believed that his arrival would be determined by Eder but Corriere dello Sport further report that that is not entirely the case. It is certainly difficult for him to arrive with Eder still at the club but by no means impossible.
However, Sturridge is expected to play in Liverpool’s FA Cup tie with West Brom tomorrow and a good performance could lead to Liverpool changing their mind altogether about letting the Englishman depart the club.
Real Madrid needs Mauro Icardi to save its season
By Oscar Cole Friday 26th January 2018
There could be no bigger joy for Real Madrid fans than to see a player brought up in Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy turn their season around. Mauro Icardi can deliver that happiness.
The 24-year-old Inter Milan star has been lined up for a deal to the European champion given
its recent struggles in front of goal. It is only right that Los Blancos pursue the Argentina international’s signature. Real Madrid is in serious trouble this term. The crisis reached a new
low when it lost 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu to lowly Leganes in the mid-week Copa Del Rey. It was an ignominious first of the kind that has become all too familiar this term. The defeat only served to put Zinedine Zidane under more pressure.
Icardi will offer Real that new player enthusiasm which can infect the rest of the squad. His goals will be crucial for Zidane, who can no longer rely on his usual providers. The player has all it takes to succeed in Madrid: 96 strikes in 169 games for Inter is no mean feat.
The Argentine is young enough to lead Madrid for a number of years. Given he left Barcelona in 2011 because the Catalan club felt he didn’t have anything to offer, there is an added incentive to make the move.
I hope this club get free from Financial sanctions and get rid of this scam scheme loan with an option or obligation to buy, We are not a begging club and this thing will not get the maximum out of the players
Plz can we give up this stupid idea of sturidge already! It’s bound to fail… go for serie A proven players if we want result quickly…
serie A proven players didn’t qualify for WC in russia.
they are NOT WORLD CLASS PLAYERS, not even EUROPEAN CLASS PLAYERS !!
just national class players. of course it is not ment for players like buffon and only a few others. national team is the best picture of italian football nowadays.
a bad picture.
We have just 17 matches ahead, once a week. Do we really need both him and Eder? For backup then???
