The Javier Pastore to Inter saga continues and looks set to do so until the final moments of this transfer window. The players’ agent, Marcelo Simonian is acting as mediator between all the interested parties in an attempt to get the deal done and bring the midfielder nicknamed as El Flaco, back to Italy. All that seems left to do is to convince PSG’s owners on the details of the deal.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Simonian met with the Paris club officials to discuss his clients wishes. It has been reported that the player has expressed his willingness to even reduce his wages down to €4,5 million in order to make the move happen. There will not be any forcing of the issue from the player however. El Khelaifi was reported as saying that “If the deal goes ahead it will be made between the two clubs only.” It would appear that PSG’s Qatari President is taking a firm stance on the matter. It now seems increasingly likely that if a deal is to happen, Inter will need to intervene directly and have some dialogue with the Paris club and their directors. Regardless of the players’ wishes, Inter will need to work hard to push this deal over the line.
